Blu-ray Review: Sink Your Teeth Into ‘Deep Blue Seas 3’

The first time that I saw the trailer for Deep Blue Sea 3, I was beyond excited, I’m a sucker for anything that involves sharks. But deep down there was a lingering fear that it would just be another cheesy creature feature. Thankfully, it has real substance. Let’s talk about it. Deep Blue Sea 3 centers on Marine Biologist Emma Collins and her team who are on a mission to study the ocean’s greatest predators. Using a man-made island as their base, Emma and the team’s study is interrupted by her old flame who needs their help catching a shiver of genetically enhanced smart sharks. The majestic creatures are the least of their worries when a man proves that humans are the real animals. Tania Raymonde stars as Emma. She brings a realness to the character. Her real-life passion for sharks translates to screen. She is fantastic. During our interview she filled us in on an interesting fact, the film

When her ex arrives begging for help to locate a group of sharks that have escaped from a secret research facility, but that will be easier said than done. These sharks have been genetically altered. They’re intelligent and brutal. Emma and her team are now locked in a fight for survival. Horror Fuel: “So, I watched Deep Blue Seas 3 last night. I liked it.” Tania Raymonde: “Oh, I’m so glad!” Horror Fuel: “I love that so much was included the real plight of sharks and the dangers of climate

Movie Review: Deep Blue Sea 3 (2020)

Too often, the shark movies we get are campy and shallow with no real message or facts. That’s where Deep Blue Sea 3 is different. With a more serious tone, the movie is filled with real facts and the message that we need to protect these amazing creatures. I truly appreciate that director John Pogue and writer Dirk Blackman took this approach. Don’t get me wrong, there are brief moments of cheesiness, but for the most part, this is a story about determination and survival. So if you’re looking for something like Sharknado, just keep swimming. In the film, a team of researches, led by the headstrong, passionate Dr. Emma Collins, are based on an artificial island. As they study the reef and shark nursery, a past lover of Dr. Collins arrives on a ship in hopes that she will help him find three sharks that have escaped a secret lab. Not knowing the entire story, the team joins the

‘Deep Blue Sea 3’ Is Swimming Our Way

While it’s still early in the development phase, production Weekly is reporting that a new sequel for the Deep Blue Sea franchise is swimming our way, this time from Netflix. Unfortunately, no other details have been revealed. The franchise made a splash back in 1999 with the Renny Harlin-directed feature starring Thomas Jane, Saffron Burrows, L.L. Cool J, and Samuel L. Jackson. The movie centered on a group of scientists at an isolated research facility where they have been creating intelligent sharks. Last year Warner Bros. unleashed a sequel about scientists experimenting on bull sharks, of course, the sharks get out causing death and destruction. Danielle Savre, Rob Mayes, and Michael Beach starred.
