Earlier today Screen Daily confirmed that the sequel is indeed on its way. Metal And Mayhem – Deathgasm 2: Goremegeddon Enters Early Production

Back in December we learned that a sequel was in the works for Deathgasm, one of 2015’s best and most creative horror films. We reported then that writer-director Jason Lei Howden posted a photo on Instagram of the finished script, stating that gorehounds will be in for a big treat. “There is literally more gore in the first ten minutes than the entire first #deathgasm.” Howden continued “If you kinda liked the first, this will make your head implode. If you thought the first Deathgasm was puerile, juvenille and dumb Goremageddon will melt your face off and force you to barricade yourself inside, safe with some Terrance Malik of Coldplay.” Now, Deathgasm: Goremegeddon has moved into the early stages of production. We can expect Goremegeddon to rock theaters sometime in 2017. For those of you who haven’t seen this heavy metal, head-splitting gore fest, I recommend that you do so immediately. The film follows a band who have unwittingly unleashed

Wal-Mart Renames Deathgasm

When did stores get the power to change the names of horror films to better suit their opinion of what consumers will find okay? Wal-Mart has done it again. The movie will now be known as Heavy Metal Apocalypse, censorship at it’s finest (insert eye-roll) . Yes, you read that right. What is so offensive about the title “Deathgasm“? Nothing, in my opinion. I have to wonder, will they will start re-writing books next? Where does it end? No matter if you’re a metal-head or just a regular horror fan, Deathgasm will rock you. This is a fast paced, brutal, but hilarious horror flick is one you don’t want to miss. The film, written and directed by Jason Lei Howden, stars Milo Cawthorne, James Blake, Kimberly Crossman, Sam Berkley and Daniel Cresswell. In Deathgasm,
