Romero’s original, released in 1982, featured segments by master of horror Stephen King and starred names like Ted Danson and Adrienne Barbeau. The film was so well loved that it spawned two sequels and a comic. Nicotero has a deep connection to Creepshow. He worked alongside Romero on Creepshow 2 and Day of the Dead.
