Kubrick Estate Auctioning Never Before Seen Cut Of ‘The Shining’ Among Other Items

Stanley Kubrick may be gone, but his legendary films still live and flourish. Aste Bolaffi, an Italian auction website, has posted a number of pieces of Kubrick memorabilia. The item that is garnering the most attention is a never before seen cut of ‘The Shining’ which is longer than any previously released cuts and includes a deleted scene that has never been seen by the public. “Long cut of the original film The Shining containing the scene in which Wendy, played by Shelley Alexis Duvall, carries Danny, played by little Danny Lloyd. These cuts, given by Kubrick to D’Alessandro, are particularly rare because the director notoriously burned all the leftovers at the conclusion of the editing.” The auction for this historic piece stars at $3,700. If you want even more ‘Shining’ love, the jacket worn by Jack Nicholson’s auction price starts at $12,000. The auction promises many items for a collection of Kubrick’s films. A Nun Doll Is Coming This Summer

Porcelain dolls are one of two things, meh, or creepy. The dolls over at Living Dead Dolls are deliberately made to be creepy, especially since their best sellers are based on iconic horror characters. MezcoToyz recently announced that coming this summer there will be a doll of the scary nun from The Conjuring 2, Annabelle Creation, and the upcoming film The Nun. The Nun is the manifestation of the demon Valak. Don’t worry, the doll is not as tall as the 5’8 nun, it’s only 10” (inches) tall and can be kept sealed in its box that doubles as a display case. The doll will be out in stores for you to buy in time for The Nun’s release in theatres this September. If you’re impatient to add this little-veiled terror to your collection, you can pre-order her here! If Valak is not your type there’s more to choose from!

Pop! Vinyl Releases Preview Of Krampus Toys

I know, I know, it’s not even the most wonderful time of the year yet (obviously I mean Halloween), but we have to talk about Christmas for just a second. Pop! Vinyl is releasing new Krampus bobble heads! I know for sure that they will be on my wish list. Unfortunately, these are not based on the 2015 movie, but they still look spectacular. If anyone is still unaware of who Krampus is, he is basically the antithesis of Santa. He is a very old tradition, but was virtually lost until recently. Now he is back to terrorize those on the naughty list. Along with the standard brown/grey toy, a red/black chase version will also be available. The latter is a 1-in-6 rarity. Additionally, a couple stores will be getting their own exclusives… Hot Topic – “Flocked Krampus” Hot Topic – “Snow-Flocked Krampus,” 1-in-6 chase FYE – “Frozen Krampus” Look for all five Krampus vinyl toys in November.

Heritage Auctions Unleashes A Horde Of Vintage Horror Comics At Upcoming Auction

Whether you’re an avid collector of rare, pre-code horror comics or just someone who enjoys reading about Spider Man duking it out with Count Dracula, this Sunday’s upcoming internet comic sale from Heritage Auctions will have something for you. Though the auction giant holds weekly internet sales in their comics/comic art department, this one stands out due to the plethora of near-forgotten horror titles from the “anything goes” days before the Comics Code toned down comic book terror. No issues of beloved EC titles like ‘Tales from the Crypt’ or ‘The Haunt of Fear’ are on offer, but in their place collectors can find slabbed and CGC-graded issues of highly sought rarities ‘Beware’, ‘Chamber of Chills’, ‘The Thing!’, ‘Out of the Night’, and several others. Also on the auction block are multiple issues of Neil Gaiman’s seminal ‘Sandman’, Marvel’s ‘Tomb of Dracula’, ‘The Munsters’ from Gold Key, and a copy of Marvel Spotlight #5, which features the first appearance of

Interview: Guinness World Record Holder John E. Boylan

The Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Swamp Thing memorabilia consists of 797 unique items and belongs to illustrator and designer John E. Boylan (USA). His collection was verified in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA on March 21 2015. I was fortunate enough to be able to ask Guinness World Record Holder, John E. Boylan, a few questions for this interview and he was gracious enough to provide me with some great answers. STG What inspired your passion to collect all things Swamp Thing? JEB “Good storytelling, other Swamp Thing fans, and enough oddball collectibles to stay intrigued. I was drawn to Swamp Thing, like many I imagine, by the beautiful art and writing. Once I started collecting single issues and chatting with other Swampy fans, I wondered what else was out there relating to Swamp Thing and found a bunch of great collectibles like, chalk, pencil sharpeners and furry slippers. Since Swampy isn’t the most popular/well known
