An Interview With ‘Child’s Play’ Actress Carlease Burke

Carlease Burke sat down to talk with me about her latest role, as Doreen in the upcoming Lars Klevberg-directed remake of Child’s Play. Set to premiere on June 21, 2019, and stars Aubrey Plaza in the role of a mother who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll for his birthday, unaware of its sinister nature. Mark Hamill will be voicing Chucky. Horror Fuel: “You have been in so many fantastic series and movies. I mean, wow!” Carlease Burke: “I know. It is pretty remarkable when you are looking back at it. That’s a lot of stuff (laughter).” Horror Fuel: “(giggle) When I was looking at your IMDb I saw a lot of series I know and love.” Carlease Burke: “Oh, so you may have seen me before you knew me.” Horror Fuel: “I’m sure of it. I absolutely love Shameless.” Carlease Burke: “In the beginning, it was the first season, I played Roberta. I had a three-episode arc.

Chucky Is Ready To Slash His Way Into Theaters In First Real Image From ‘Child’s Play’ Reboot

After months of teasing and waiting we finally have our first real look at the Child’s Play reboot. In the new art, we see Buddi, the new Chucky doll. While he does look similar to the classic doll we’ve come to love and fear. First, you’ll notice the doll’s bigger eyes, then its sleeker look. Orion and MGM have teamed up for the Child’s Play reboot with Polaroid director Lars Klevberg in the director’s chair. Originally known as “The Good Guy Doll” the red-headed killer has been rebranded as “Buddi”, an A.I. doll vastly different from the original talking doll. The movie follows “(Aubrey Plaza) who gives her son (Gabrial Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.” Beatrice Kitsos (“The Exorcist”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”), and Ty Consiglio also star in the film written by Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury). Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are producing under their KatzSmith Productions banner. Aaron Schmidt

Mark Hamill Is The New Voice Of Chucky!

Since the moment we first learned that Brad Dourif, the longtime voice of Chucky, wouldn’t be voicing the possessed doll in the Child’s Play reboot we’ve wondered who would take his place. That question was answered yesterday during Orion’s panel at WonderCon. So who is the new voice of Chuck? It’s none other than Stars Wars actor Mark Hamill! While Hamill seems like an odd choice, he has have had some impressive voice roles in video games, radio dramas, and animated films including DC’s the Joker in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series. In our hearts, Dourif will always be Chucky. But I have to admit, I’m curious to see how Hamill’s version of Chucky will turn out. With Polaroid director Lars Klevberg in the director’s chair, Chucky will make his return to theaters this June. But that’s not all, Chucky’s getting a makeover and a new name. Originally known as “The Good Guy Doll” the red-headed killer has been rebranded
