Movie Review: Nobody (2021) Is The Only Action Movie You Have To See This Year

Let me get this out of the way, I am fully aware that Nobody isn’t a horror movie, but I watched it and I have to share my thoughts on it, so read on or exit, your choice. Directed by Ilya Naishuller and written by Derek Kolstad, Nobody stars Emmy Award-winner Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”) as Hutch, a family man who is drifting apart from his wife and nobody respects him. They have no idea who he used to be. After a home invasion, Hutch is at rock bottom until his daughter tells him the thieves took her bracelet which flips a switch in him, and he sets off on a mission to retrieve it. This is when we learn the mild-mannered father is actually a badass who used to kill for the government. After beating the hell out of a group of guys he learns that one is the brother of a Russian gangster who now wants revenge.

Bob Odenkirk Proves How Dangerous A ‘Nobody’ Can Be In New Red Band Trailer

Sometimes the man you don’t notice is the most dangerous of all. Emmy Award winner Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”, The Post, Nebraska) stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life’s indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe, The Shack), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman), seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire, and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary (famed Russian actor Aleksey Serebryakov, Amazon’s McMafia)—and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody

Freaks Of Nature Coming To DVD And Blu-ray

We welcome you to Dillford, where three days ago, everything was peaceful and business as usual: the vampires were at the top of the social order, the zombies were at the bottom, and the humans were getting along in the middle. But this delicate balance was ripped apart when the alien apocalypse arrived in Dillard and put an end to all the harmony. Now it’s humans vs. vampires vs. zombies in an all out, blood-sucking, brain-eating, vamp-staking mortal combat – and all them are on the run from the aliens. It’s up to three teenagers – one human, one vampire and one zombie to figure out how to get rid of the interplanetary visitors and restore order. Freaks of Nature has something for every horror fan. This horror-comedy stars Vanessa Hudgens, Mackenzie Davis, Ed Westwick, Keegan-Michael Key, Joan Cusack, Bob Odenkirk, Cerina Vincent and Denis Leary.
