The murders of twenty-nine, mostly-male, African-American children, teens, and young adults left the city in terror. Wayne Williams was arrested and convicted for the murder of two adults but has been linked to the child murders, though he maintains his innocence when it came to being blamed for the twenty-nine murders. FX is teaming up with actress Regina King for a new series about the murders. The show is based on Kim Reid’s 2007 memoir “No Place Safe”. Reid was 13 when the serial killer was at work.
