“Interview With The Vampire” Author Anne Rice Has Passed Away

We have tragic news to share with you. On Saturday (12/11/2021), prolific author Anne Rice passed away at the age of 80 due to complications from a stroke. Earlier tonight, Anne passed away due to complications resulting from a stroke,” Rice’s son, Christopher Rice, said in a statement on social media. “She left us almost nineteen years to the day my father, her husband Stan, died. The immensity of our family’s grief cannot be overstated. As my mother, her support for me was unconditional — she taught me to embrace my dreams, reject conformity and challenge the dark voices of fear and self-doubt. As a writer, she taught me to defy genre boundaries and surrender to my obsessive passions. In her final hours, I sat beside her hospital bed in awe of her accomplishments and her courage, awash in memories of a life that took us from the fog laced hills of the San Francisco Bay Area to the magical

Dive Into “Meg” Author Steve Alten’s Interactive World “Sea Monster Cove”

If you thought watching the blockbuster movie The MEG, which plunged viewers headfirst into the waiting jaws of a Megalodon in the Mariana Trench, was thrilling, imagine immersing yourself in an interactive world ruled by prehistoric sea creatures and taking part in the heart-pounding action! Steve Alten, the author of the NY Times bestselling MEG series, has created a world like no other. Sea Monster Cove is a revolutionary multimedia entertainment concept that combines virtual reality, a web TV series, a video game, and a learning platform into one interactive site. The Sea Monster Cove website of Alten’s imagination is a spectacular, five-star aquarium-themed resort located on Maug, a remote (and very real) island in the Western Pacific. Maug’s volcano erupted 5 million years ago; today all that remains are three uninhabited islets that had been the volcano’s rim and a flooded magma chamber that serves as its lagoon. Why place a virtual island resort here? That’s where Alten’s research

Author Interview: John L. Davis of American Revenant Series

I’m doing something a bit different this week. Rather than posting a book review, I’m sharing an interview I had the opportunity to do for Gores Truly with author John L. Davis of the American Revenant series. He agreed to chat with me regarding the American Revenant series, and offered to give us some insight into himself, his process, and what we can expect from this shining new author in the future. If you are unfamiliar with Davis’ work, you can find a review of his debut novel American Revenant: Hometown Exodus. The series is set in Hannibal, MO and features a community of people who band together to survive a zombie apocalypse. It is honestly one of the best zombie series’ I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a long time, and I would encourage you to check it out if you haven’t. American Revenant: Hometown Exodus and American Revenant: Settlers and Sorrow are both available for Kindle download.
