Review: The “American Horror Stories” Premiere Feels Too Familiar

The AHS spin-off “American Horror Stories” has now premiered and is available on both FX and Hulu, and we’ve got thoughts. In the premiere, titled “Rubber(wo)Man”, a young woman (Sierra McCormick) and her two dads (Matt Bomer and Gavin Creel )move into the infamous “Murder House” from season one of “AHS.” Her dark killer instinct comes out as she discovers the gimp suit worn by Tate. You may remember that anyone who dies inside the house, has their spirit trapped there forever, that’s key to the story as the body count quickly rises in the premiere. “American Horror Stories” has been described as delving into “myths, legends, and more.” But we see none of that in the premiere. What we get is kill after kill that feels too familiar. It’s just like another episode of “Murder House,” but with a female serial killer instead of Tate. I can’t say I’m impressed. Much of Ryan Murphy’s “AHS” and “American Horror Stories”

Evan Peter’s Role In “American Horror Story: Double Feature” Revealed

As always, Ryan Murphy and the folks over at “American Horror Story” have been keeping details quiet, leaving fans pretty clueless about season 10, titled “Double Feature.” There are a lot of returning cast members, one being Evan Peters. A photo has just shared via the “AHS: Double Feature” Instagram account, giving us our first look at Peters on the set. It also reveals who Peters will be playing. The actor will be reprising his role as Tate Langdon, the serial killer/school shooter from “AHS: Murder House.” While Peters has starred in many seasons, Tate remains his most memorable role. In the image, he’s wearing an oversized striped sweater and shaggy hair, just like he wore in season 1. While it doesn’t tell us the plot, it’s at least a clue that “Double Feature” may connect past seasons. Other returning actors include Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Finn Wittrock, Leslie Grossman, Angelica Ross, Billy Porter, Denis O’Hare, and Billie

Ryan Murphy Casts “AHS” Star Even Peters As Famous Serial Killer In Netflix Series ‘Monster’

Like always, Ryan Murphy is turning to his “American Horror Story” alum to cast his new Netflix series, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” TVline reports. According to the site, Murphy has cast long-time “AHS” star, Evan Peters, as the infamous serial killer in the limited series. “Monster tells the tale of one of America’s most infamous killers, who was convicted of murdering 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991, with his methods including mutilation, necrophilia, and cannibalism. The series will focus on the perspective of Dahmer’s victims and will also look at the police incompetence and apathy that allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree, with Dahmer (aka the “Milwaukee Cannibal”) repeatedly being nearly apprehended but then let go by a justice system that saw him as harmless. Later he was arrested and sentenced but was killed in prison by a fellow inmate before justice could be served. Emmy winner Richard Jenkins (Six Feet Under,

Why is Emma Roberts the Most Iconic Part of “American Horror Story”?

“American Horror Story’s” tenth season is a-go, with filming reportedly having begun in October 2020. The theme of the season has been kept tight-lipped (with lips actually being one of the only clues revealed so far!). But one thing is clear: Emma Roberts won’t be back. As the actress works on other projects, we lament her loss for the upcoming season. But why has Emma Roberts been one of the most iconic elements of the entire decade of American Horror Story? Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery Most fans would argue that “Coven” was where “AHS” gained its cult classic status. The series revolved around an academy of witches in Louisiana as they battled with all manner of past and present villains. But the horror elements aside, Roberts’s portrayal of telekinetic actress Madison was one of the most iconic – and quotable – of the series. Madison worked so well because she embodied what many viewers wished they could pull off.

It’s really no surprise that long time series regular Sarah Paulson will be involved in the spinoff, however, it may not be on screen. Tuesday Paulson stated during a Netflix panel for Murphy’s other series “Ratched” in which she also stars, that, “I’ll be directing something.” Deadline reports that their sources have described the new project as a companion anthology series to “AHS” with each episode being a stand-alone ghost
