SFX Artist Lee Romaire Talks Movies And The Viral Five Nights At Freddy’s Video

Odds are, by now, you have seen the “Five Nights At Frieddy’s in Real Life” video on the Socks YouTube channel. To say it has gone viral is an understatement, reaching 9.1 million views in its first week. The video sees a group competing in multiple challenges while trapped in a recreation of Five Nights at Freddy’s. But who created the fantastic characters, and how did they do it? The answer is Lee Romaire and his team at Romaire Studios. As for how they brought the creatures to life, Romaire filled me in on the process and much more in our interview (below). Romaire has had a remarkable career in the film industry, working on projects like War of the World, Van Helsing, Scoob-Doo, and the hilarious movie White Chicks, to name a few. New Home Invasion Horror ‘Malicious’ Breaks Out On Blu-ray And Streaming

John Fallon’s (The Shelter) new brutal thriller Malicious (also known as Braek outside of the USA) is now out on VOD and DVD in North America and is on Amazon Prime in the UK and Ireland via 4Digital Media. Fallon directed Malicious from a script he wrote with Kevin Interdonato of City on a Hill, who also stars as Jesse. Nick Baillie (Taken) stars alongside Interdonato, and they are both joined by Melissa Anschutz (Best Years Gone), Alix Lane (Black Pumpkin), Danilo Rocha (Sick Minded), and Fallon himself. Hair-Raising New Small Town Monsters Doc ‘Werewolves Unearthed’ Is Out This October

Documentarian Ward Hiney and skeptical journalist Chad Christy have teamed up, along with Small Town Monsters, to chase down leads of dogman sightings in the Ohio Valley. Stories of werewolves have drifted from European folklore into modern American pop culture, percolating in the subconscious of the populace for centuries. These tales often tell of terrifying, half-man/half-canid beings that roam the forests and fields after dark. Most think of them as little more than campfire stories meant to scare children, but for some, there is much more to this than mere mythology. Now filmmaker Ward Hiney, leading Werewolves Unearthed, a new Small Town Monsters production, is set to lift the veil on the enigmatic “dogman” of North America. Horror ‘Final Summer’ Slashes Its Way Onto Streaming Services

Camp counselors find themselves the target of a killer in Final Summer, now available to rent or own on streaming services. In the summer of 1991, tragedy strikes on the final day of summer camp at Camp Silverlake. As the counselors try to shut the camp down for the season, they find themselves fighting for their lives against a masked killer. This slasher stars Bishop Stevens (A24’s Slice, Shudder original Revealer), Thom Mathews (Return of the Living Dead, Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives), and features theme music by Slavvy (Terrifier 2), with the song “The Taste” by Night Dreamer (Jeff Schroeder of The Smashing Pumpkins) playing during the credits. WWE Stars Set To Tag Team The Paranormal In New Series “Chambers of Horrors”

The worlds of WWE and the paranormal are coming together for a new YouTube ghost-hunting series. Scarlett Bordeaux (Elizabeth Chihaia Kesar) has now announced that she will be hosting the new series “Chambers of Horrors” alongside fellow wrestler Shotzi Blackheart (Ashley Louise Urbanski). In the series, the two will investigate real paranormal events and locations, including the infamous former mental institution Pennhurst Asylum in Spring City, Pennsylvania, which was finally shuttered in December of 1987. Scarlett and Shotzi tag team the paranormal on “Chamber of Horrors,” premiering on September 20, 2023. Do you believe in ghosts? A Man Without Memory Faces A Demon In ‘Spirit Of Fear’ – Out Now

The supernatural indie horror film Spirit of Fear allows viewers to witness one man’s dark, mysterious journey as he tries to uncover who he is, where he is, and what’s hunting him. Written and directed by Alex Davidson, the film sees a man waking to find himself in an empty suburban house with no memory and blood smeared on his arm, only for it to turn out not to be his. Walking through the home, he finds messages like “Don’t stay in this room.” and “Don’t go outside.” But the mystery may be the least of his problems. Amazing Horror Series You Might Have Missed (Part II)

Penny Dreadful (2014-2016) I can’t express how disappointed I was when the series that explores classic monsters came to an end. Incredibly well-written with outstanding performances. In fact, I’d be willing to say that “Penny Dreadful” is one of the best horror series ever to be released. If you watch one series from the list, make it this one.
