Jordan McCloskey Talks With Me About His Film ‘Ghostpuncher’

For those of you who haven’t heard about the horror-comedy ‘Ghostpuncher’, let me fill you in. ‘Ghostpuncher’ is the brain-child of Gemini award winning actor/writer Jordan McCloskey . Jordan starred on the TV series ‘The Wilkinsons’ and the series ‘Three Chords From the Truth’. Now Jordan has set out to make an unforgettable and completely original movie with blood, gore, creepy ghosts and a few laughs. I sat down today to talk with Jordan about his project. The man on the other end of the phone was over flowing with excitement about ‘Ghostpuncher’ and I can’t blame him, by the time I hung up the phone I was psyched about this indie film too. ‘Ghostpuncher’ tells the story of a single father and his son, who have moved into a new house, unaware of the fact that the home is haunted by three spirits. The home now stands on the foundation of where a nineteenth century poor-house once stood. The

‘WolfCop’ Is Getting A Sequel !

One of the best releases of 2014/2015 is a horror-comedy by the name ‘WolfCop’ . ‘Wolf Cop’ brought together the best of both worlds, blood, gore, and a werewolf cop with a taste for justice, liquor and donuts. This movie has all the markings of an instant horror-comedy classic. When Lou, an alcoholic cop, is jumped in the woods one night while out on a call, a ritual is performed. On the full moon he morphs into a werewolf, but not just any werewolf, he’s a gun toting, flask carrying, officer of the law. WolfCop sets out to bring a little justice to the corrupt town he calls home. If you haven’t seen WolfCop, watch it, watch it now, after you read the article of course. If you are a Netflix subscriber, I have good news, it’s available on their streaming service. Be sure to read our ‘WolfCop’ review . I howled with joy when I found out that a

An Interview With Stuntman Andy Rusk

There are so many important components that make up shows and movies. The actors and actresses may be focus of our attention, but the stunt men and women create the action that we love so much. I had the opportunity to interview Andy Rusk, stunt man and the Assistant Stunt Coordinator for one of my favorite shows, NBC’s ‘Constantine’. Let me share our conversation with you. Photo by Nate Dorn KM “What inspired you to become a stunt man?” AR “I guess I was raised on television and action movies, and wanted to be a part of that industry from a young age without really knowing it. Growing up, I really wanted to be either Indian Jones or James Bond, but real archaeologists don’t swing from bullwhips and fight Nazis, and real spies don’t drive Aston Martins. The only place they do that stuff is in the movies, so that’s where I headed.” KM “What was your first stunt job?”

An Interview With The Fabulous Naomi Grossman Of ‘American Horror Story’

Most of you may recognize Naomi Grossman from her role as Pepper on ‘American Horror Story’, though she looks extremely different in real life. Naomi made an incredible transformation from beautiful woman into her character ‘Pepper’ for both season 2 (Asylum) and season 4 (Freak Show) of ‘American Horror Story’. Not only is this sassy lady a seriously talented actress, she is also a talented writer and producer. Naomi has such light hearted titles as ‘Paradrunken Activity’, ‘Hot Yoga’ and ‘Men at Work’ listed on her resume under writer/producer credits. Naomi is currently working on her latest role in the horror-thriller ‘The Chair’, directed by Chad Ferrin. ‘The Chair’ has an incredible cast list including legendary wrestler and actor Roddy Piper (They Live), Zach Galligan (Gremlins) and Kyle Hester (Then Comes Marriage). Naomi was kind enough to answer a few of my questions. I have to say, by the end of the interview, I was even more impressed with Ms.

An Interview With Writer & Producer Kerry Fleming Of ‘Rock Paper Dead’

Last night I sat down for an interview with Kerry Fleming, the co-writer and co-producer of the horror movie ‘Rock Paper Dead’. Mr. Fleming and I had the best conversation about horror, that I’ve had in a very long time. It was very refreshing to hear him talk about his horror movie and the genre the way he did, with so much enthusiasm and pride. I know that those emotions will be evident in the quality of this movie, which I can’t wait to see. When I first heard about ‘Rock Paper Dead’ I was excited by the actors that had already signed up for roles, a group of true horror legends. ‘Cujo’ actress Dee Wallace, Michael Berryman of ‘The Hills Have Eyes’, and both Kane Hodder and Ari Lehman, who have played Jason in ‘Friday The 13th’, are all the cast list. ‘Rock Paper Dead’ also stars ‘X-Men’ actor Bruce Davison and Mikaela Hoover of the 2014 hit ‘Guardians

A Conversation With ‘Zombeavers’ Star Hutch Dano

Warning May Contain Spoilers I had the pleasure of interviewing Hutch Dano, who plays Sam, in 2014 horror-comedy ‘Zombeavers’. In ‘Zombeavers’ Hutch’s character Sam, isn’t the nicest guy. Sam’s a little shady and he cheated on his girlfriend Jenn (Lexi Atkins), with someone very close to her, but let me say this, Hutch and his character are very different, he’s a very nice guy in real life. KM “How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?” HD “It all started in theater. In the fifth grade I was in ‘The Wizard of Oz’, I played the ‘Cowardly Lion’ and I knew I wanted to act.” KM “How did you get involved in ‘Zombeavers’?” HD “I was driving home and got a call from my agent saying he had an audition for me the next day. When I got home I looked at the synopsis for the script. After a long pause I called my agent and asked “What

Author Interview: John L. Davis of American Revenant Series

I’m doing something a bit different this week. Rather than posting a book review, I’m sharing an interview I had the opportunity to do for Gores Truly with author John L. Davis of the American Revenant series. He agreed to chat with me regarding the American Revenant series, and offered to give us some insight into himself, his process, and what we can expect from this shining new author in the future. If you are unfamiliar with Davis’ work, you can find a review of his debut novel American Revenant: Hometown Exodus. The series is set in Hannibal, MO and features a community of people who band together to survive a zombie apocalypse. It is honestly one of the best zombie series’ I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a long time, and I would encourage you to check it out if you haven’t.
