Paramount will be delivering a sequel to the 2013 film ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ as earlier reported, instead they will be developing the movie into a TV series, produced by the studio and Gary Sanchez Productions, who produced the 2013 film. The news comes on the heels of Paramount’s deal with Amazon Studios for a ‘Jack Ryan’ series. There is no news yet when they will begin filming or on what network the ‘Hansel and Gretel’ series will air.

In ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ the siblings return to the village where they lived as children, after fifteen years. The two are now witch hunters and their village is under attack. As the Blood Moon approaches the two are the village’s only hope, they must stop the witches who are reeking havoc. The film stars ‘The Avengers’ actor Jeremy Renner as Hansel and Gemma Arterton as Gretel, Famke Janssen, Pihla Vitala, Derek Mears and Peter Stomare. We will keep you updated as the story develops.
