Get ready for another chilling chapter in the “Them” horror anthology series, whose first season “hits you like a sledgehammer” (review). Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for “Them: The Scare,” the highly anticipated second season premiering this April.

A New Threat Emerges

Following the unsettling events of season one of “Them” set in 1950s Compton, the series ventures forward to a new decade and location. Los Angeles in 1991 serves as the backdrop for a fresh wave of terror. The story centers on LAPD Detective Dawn Reeve (Deborah Ayorinde), a hardened investigator tasked with solving the brutal murder of a foster home mother.

A Descent into Darkness

As Dawn delves deeper into the investigation, she uncovers a terrifying truth. The city, already on the brink of chaos, harbors a sinister undercurrent. As she gets closer to the killer, a malevolent force threatens to engulf not just the case but Dawn and her family as well.

A Star-Studded Cast

“Them: The Scare” boasts a captivating cast led by Deborah Ayorinde, known for her roles in “Riches” and “Harriet.” Joining her is the legendary Pam Grier (“Foxy Brown”), Grammy-nominated musician and actor Luke James (“The Chi”), and a talented ensemble featuring Joshua J. Williams, Jeremy Bobb, Wayne Knight, and more.

A Haunting Collaboration

“Them: The Scare” is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios. Little Marvin, the series creator, returns as showrunner and executive producer alongside a team of industry veterans.
