“The Walking Dead” fan favorite Chandler Riggs, who played “Carl,” brings his ultimate survival horror dream to life! Inspired by the legendary video game franchise, Riggs directed, wrote, and starred in a thrilling new Resident Evil 7 fan film. Titled Biohazard, this impressive 20-minute short recreates the iconic garage fight and is available to watch now!

Legendary Horror Collaborations

Riggs enlisted incredible genre talent to deliver top-tier horror thrills. Fellow “The Walking Dead” alum Jason Douglas portrays the menacing, infected patriarch Jack Baker alongside Riggs’ Ethan Winters. Practical effects icon Greg Nicotero also supplied the short with grotesquely realistic gore and makeup effects. Co-stars Mary Rachel Quinn, Eugenie Bondurant, Johnathan O’Neil, and Sam Coyles round out this fantastic cast.

Beating the Hollywood Clock

Production originally raced to release before news broke regarding Zach Cregger’s upcoming official Resident Evil feature film. Riggs pushed his team hard during pre-production to finish their tribute project as quickly as possible. Although the production hit minor scheduling delays, the creators delivered an incredibly faithful adaptation that horror fans will adore.

Breaking Game Rules for Cinema

Riggs shifted the narrative perspective to third person to make the cinematic story far more engaging. While Resident Evil 7 famously uses a first-person perspective, Riggs wanted his film to appeal to broader audiences. Breaking that gameplay rule let the team showcase deeper character emotions during intense combat scenes. Genre enthusiasts everywhere can watch the action-packed fan film today!
